Job Description

Roles and responsibilities 

Work closely with the respective group Project Sponsor/Owner to ensure clear and effective project initiation (i.e. draft the charter and assist with reviews/approvals, as necessary).

Throughout the life of the project, work with the Project Sponsor/Owner to manage scope, time, and resource changes and ensure that the project is achieving the stated objectives and is moving in a direction consistent with the group priorities.

Organize the project Core Team; coach and support them with their responsibilities to ensure that they delivery high-quality, timely results (deliverables and implementation).

Work closely with the Core Team to identify and resolve project issues and mitigate risks (and/or plan risk contingencies).

Establish and manage the project workplan and implementation plan and ensure that all project activities and timing is integrated with the larger program, as necessary.

Provide status updates to the Project Sponsor/Owner & other stakeholders.

Ensure complete project closing (gain all final approvals, share knowledge objects, and complete performance reviews for all team members).

Act as a Project Associate on some projects and provide analyst support.

Others, depending on the specific project

Responsible for the following deliverables on a project:

1 Project Charter (if engaged for the initiation phase)
2 Project Workplan
3 Project Issues/Risks Log
4 Project Status Reports
5 Post Project Review
6 Others, depending on the specific project

Required Candidate profile

Educational Qualifications Graduates/BE/B.Tech/MBA/MS and preferably a certified PMP / Prince2 professional.

Years of Experience - 5 - 10 years of work experience with the last 3 -4 years in driving PMO in an MNC BPO only.

Must to have skills Project/Program Management Skills, Process design knowledge, Implementation/Transition experience, knowledge of project management methodology, stakeholder management skills, risk management and other PMI recommended methods & tools, ability to work fearlessly on projects in ambiguous environments and effective virtual project management skills.
Migration/Transition experience would be added advantage.

Nice to have skills Good articulation and communication skills and a good team player.

Certifications (if any) CAPM/PRINCE2 Certification, Six Sigma certification would be added advantage.

Any other skills Ability to work effectively in sync with groups across countries and cultures.

Should be willing to work in night shifts.
